Ben co-founded Highland Partners in 2020 and is based in New York, New York. He is primarily responsible for capital formation, acquisitions, deal sourcing, underwriting and execution.
Ben has led the acquisition of more than 55 individual SMF real estate assets spanning the market rate, affordable and student housing sectors. He has established Highland’s relationships with the leading brokerage teams and lenders in each of the firm’s targeted geographies.Prior to Highland, Ben spent six years at Temasek Holdings, a leading global investment firm with approximately $300 billion under management. In this role, Ben participated in both public equity and direct private investments, focusing on the U.S. technology and healthcare sectors. Ben was involved with the firm’s investments in Intapp, BluJay Solutions, Iora Health, One Medical, Surgery Partners, Envision Healthcare and JAB Holdings.
Prior to Temasek, Ben was an Analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions group at BofA Merrill Lynch in New York, advising clients in the Technology, Agricultural, Consumer, and Aerospace & Defense sectors.
Ben graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Business Administration from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.
Dylan co-founded Highland Partners in 2020 and is based in Greater Salt Lake City, Utah. He is primarily responsible for acquisition due diligence, portfolio operations, and asset & property management. Dylan led the establishment of Highland’s property & asset management teams in each of the firm’s targeted geographies.
Prior to Highland, Dylan gained significant experience in SMF & affordable housing investing and operations, managing many individual acquisitions, divestitures, financings and recapitalizations as an independent real estate operator. Dylan managed the full lifecycle of each deal and syndication including sourcing, financing, leasing, property management and spearheading major renovation projects. Dylan has deployed over $7m in value-add CapEx across seven (7) submarkets during his career.
Dylan graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Economics and a Concentration in Real Estate.
Daniel joined Highland in 2024 and is based in Greater Salt Lake City, Utah. He is responsible for the firm’s finance, accounting and tax functions.
Prior to Highland, Daniel worked two years at Linked Accounting LLP, an accounting firm based in Salt Lake City. As a Senior Tax Manager at Linked, Daniel led engagements across a range of clients, with a specialization in real-estate.
Prior to Linked, Daniel worked eight years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Houston, Texas in their Asset & Wealth Management Group. Daniel served as a key tax advisor to numerous domestic and international private equity fund managers ranging from multi billion-dollar funds to small start-ups.
Daniel graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Accounting and a Masters of Accounting, both from the University of Utah.
Max joined Highland Partners in 2025 and is based in New York City. He is responsible for the firm’s capital markets activities (both debt & equity).
Prior to joining Highland Partners, Max spent 9 years at Ackman-Ziff Real Estate Group, a capital markets advisory firm based in New York. Max assisted in the origination, execution, analysis and due diligence on behalf of the firm and its clients which ranged from private equity, hedge funds, public REITs, and private companies. Max was involved in more than $5 billion of debt, mezzanine and equity financing across a wide range of projects and asset classes.
Max graduated from Bucknell University, where he majored in Economics and was a member of the Baseball team.
